The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing construction materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project timelines and budget requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Procurement Planning: Plan and execute procurement activities for construction projects in line with drawings, BOQs, schedules, and budgets. - Sourcing and Vendor Management: Source, evaluate, and manage construction material, equipment, and subcontract suppliers. - Purchase Order Management: Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery to site. - Cost and Control Management: Control procurement costs, evaluate quotations, and support budget optimization. - Quality and Compliance: Ensure all procured materials comply with project specifications, standards, and approvals. - Reporting and Coordination: Coordinate with project, site, and QA/QC teams and prepare procurement status reports. Core Competencies - Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and engineering requirements. - Commercial Acumen: Ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules effectively. - Systems Proficiency: Experience using ERP and procurement management systems. - Analytical Thinking: Skilled in evaluating supplier quotations, cost comparisons, and procurement risks. - Integrity & Compliance: Ensures adherence to company policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements. - Collaboration: Works closely with engineers, project managers, and suppliers. - Results Orientation: Focused on timely procurement to support uninterrupted site progress. Requirements: - Should be Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering from recognized University. - Must have 3–5 years of UAE experience in procurement within the construction industry. - Valid UAE Educational Certificate Equivalency is mandatory. - Attested educational certificate by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is mandatory. - Strong knowledge of construction materials, local market, and vendor base. - Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Construction industry experience is mandatory.
