# Procurement Engineer **noor alsahara General contracting** · Abu Dhabi · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: вчера* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Responsibilities - Manage the procurement process for roadworks, infrastructure, and utility projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services. - Review project drawings, BOQs, specifications, and procurement schedules to identify material and equipment requirements. - Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable commercial terms. - Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), bid evaluations, comparison statements, and purchase orders. - Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Planning Engineers, and QA/QC teams to ensure procurement activities align with project requirements and schedules. - Evaluate supplier quotations for technical and commercial compliance with project specifications. - Monitor material deliveries and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely supply and avoid project delays. - Maintain approved vendor and subcontractor databases and assess supplier performance periodically. - Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams regarding material receipt, storage, and inventory management. - Ensure all procured materials comply with project specifications, contractual requirements, and relevant authority standards. - Support contract administration activities, including subcontractor selection, negotiations, and purchase order management. - Track procurement costs and assist in maintaining project budgets and cost control measures. - Resolve procurement-related issues, material shortages, delivery delays, and supplier performance concerns. - Prepare procurement reports, material tracking logs, and procurement status updates for management. - Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards, and HSE requirements. Job Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline. - Minimum 4 to 7 years of procurement experience in civil construction, roadworks, infrastructure, or utility projects. - Strong knowledge of construction materials, utility products, infrastructure works, and procurement practices. - Experience in procuring materials related to roads, drainage, sewerage, water networks, telecom, street lighting, and utility diversion works. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs. - Strong commercial awareness and contract management knowledge. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. - Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar procurement platforms. - Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills. - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. - Knowledge of UAE construction market, suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors is highly preferred. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously. - Valid UAE driving license is an advantage. - Arabic preferred Preferred Industry Experience - Road Construction - Infrastructure Projects - Utilities (Water, Sewer, Stormwater, Telecom) - Utility Diversion Projects - Municipality and Government Infrastructure Contracts - UAE Civil Construction Sector Experience: - Procurement management: 6 years (Required) Language: - Arabic (Required) Work Location: In person
