Process Engineer (On Call Trainee)

We are now looking for a Process Engineer (On Call Trainee) to join the End to End Quality organization at Valo. The role is part of Operations and reports to Anssi Rajala. This position can be based in Helsinki, Turku or Vaasa, Finland. The position is a part time, on call trainee role.

What will you be doing: Valo is a joint venture of Wärtsilä and RCT Solutions, delivering grid scale battery energy storage with integrated software, hardware and lifecycle services. As Valo establishes its own way of working, End to End Quality is building the governance foundation of the organization: processes, procedures and instructions. The Process Engineer supports this work by keeping quality documents, data and compliance records accurate and up to date, and by helping the team analyse quality data and risks across our operation.

As Process Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Document and Data Management: Prepare essential documents and manage data to ensure the team can execute tasks without issues.
• Process Maintenance: Keep processes and procedures strictly up to date, particularly those related to the requirements of the End to End Quality organization.
• Compliance and Sustainability: Maintain and update records and procedures regarding quality compliance.
• Risk Analysis Support: Assist the team in conducting comprehensive quality data and risk analyses.

You will shine in this role, when you have/are:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Management, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for document and data management
• Analytical mindset to support risk analysis
• Self driven, eager to learn and able to work independently
• Able to work flexibly on an on call basis alongside your studies
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Preferred qualifications:

• Good command of Microsoft Excel; experience with data tools such as Power BI, Python or SQL is an advantage
• Interest in quality management, sustainability or the energy storage industry
• Finnish language skills are an advantage
