Print Production Manager

Job Title: Manager - Print Shop , Web, Design Agency

Location: Aldermaston, in between Newbury, Basingstoke & Reading.

About Us: We're a full-service print shop handling every stage of production in-house, from prepress and file setup through press runs to post-press finishing. Our digital and offset capabilities cover everything from short-run jobs to high-volume orders, and our finishing department adds the final touch with cutting, folding, binding, laminating, embossing, and more. Every project stays under one roof, so we control quality, turnaround, and consistency from first proof to final delivery. We also offer design and web services to support clients who need help preparing their materials, but print is at the heart of everything we do.

Position Overview: We're looking for a hands-on Print Shop Manager to run our production operation end to end, from quoting and artwork intake through prepress, press runs, and post-press finishing to delivery, invoicing, and payment, while leading a small team, hitting turnover and margin targets, and reporting results to our parent company. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in the print industry with hands-on experience running digital presses such as Konica Minolta, HP, and Mimaki, a solid grasp of color management and finishing processes, and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite for preflight and file preparation. Design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Hands on management of day-to-day operations of the print shop end to end, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of projects.
• Oversee and produce customer design, print (pre-press, production and post finishing) , and web projects, coordinating with third-party specialists as needed to ensure client satisfaction.
• Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative solutions and strategies to meet client objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field preferred.
• Print Press Experience: Roll-to-Roll, Flatbed and Digital Presses: Konica, HP and Mimaki
• Proficiency in Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the print and design industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
