Purpose of the Role BGIS is looking for a commercially aware and detail oriented Pricing Analyst to join our Client Solutions Team, supporting the development of competitive and financially sound proposals for facilities management contracts. Reporting to the Business Analyst, you will work closely with commercial, bid, operations, and finance colleagues across Melbourne and Sydney to prepare accurate pricing for both hard and soft services. A key part of this role involves going to market and engaging directly with subcontractors, so a confident and personable communication style is essential. You'll keep your finger on the pulse of market conditions, benchmark pricing, and bring thoughtful analysis to support commercially sustainable outcomes. The ideal candidate will be analytical, adaptable, and personable, with strong Excel capability and the ability to stay calm and organised when working to tight deadlines across a small core team and a wider national network. Key Responsibilities Develop accurate cost models and pricing for new bids and re-tenders across hard and soft services. Prepare pricing for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance (RM) activities. Build financial models that reflect risk profile, service delivery models, and contract terms. Engage with subcontractors to obtain pricing, and use cost models to benchmark and compare. Translate complex tender documents into clear pricing deliverables. Liaise with internal delivery teams to validate cost inputs. Prepare pricing schedules, commercial responses, and supporting tender documentation. Analyse historical data and benchmarking to inform bid pricing. Provide clear justification for pricing assumptions during internal reviews. Support bid managers with commercial clarifications and post-submission negotiations. Prepare cost breakdowns and present pricing rationale in internal meetings. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of bid and pricing capability across the business. Education, Experience & Skills Essential: Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong analytical, problem solving, and attention to detail skills. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with experience developing pricing and financial models. Warm and clear communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial colleagues. Confidence engaging with subcontractors and going to market for pricing. Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities to tight deadlines. Ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues across different states. Strong facilitation, negotiation, and documentation skills. Desirable: Two or more years' experience in pricing, estimating, or a similar commercial role (all levels encouraged to apply) Experience within facilities management, property, construction, or service-based contracts. Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques. Understanding of hard and soft services delivery models. Experience supporting bids, tenders, or commercial submissions. Workplace Flexibility This position can be based from either our Melbourne office or our World Square office in Sydney , both conveniently located in the CBD close to public transport, cafés, and local amenities. Following training, you will enjoy a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home .
