CarterBaldwin has been retained by Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary to lead the search for its eighth President.

Gordon-Conwell occupies a distinctive place in American evangelicalism. Since 1969, it has trained pastors, scholars, and ministry leaders, anchored by its historic campus in South Hamilton, Massachusetts, and extended through Charlotte, Boston, Jacksonville, and a growing global online community. Today its students come from 85 denominations and 50 countries.

Conviction Paired with Capability

The seminary is entering this transition at an inflection point. Theological education is changing quickly, with shifting student demographics, rising demand for flexible and affordable programs, financial pressure across independent seminaries, and the early effects of generative AI on how students learn and institutions operate. The next President must hold together deep fidelity to Gordon-Conwell's mission and theological identity with the strategic capacity to build a more sustainable institution.
