Power Plant Manager

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Power Plant Manager to oversee the overall operations, maintenance, and performance of power generation facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations, optimizing operational performance, managing resources, and achieving business objectives while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily power plant operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient electricity generation.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, maintenance plans, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Monitor plant performance, availability, efficiency, and equipment reliability.
• Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Lead, manage, and develop plant personnel, including operations and maintenance teams.
• Manage operating budgets, resource allocation, procurement, and cost control.
• Coordinate equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and major maintenance activities.
• Identify operational risks and implement effective mitigation measures.
• Prepare operational reports, performance reviews, and management updates.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, technical consultants, and relevant stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant productivity and operational efficiency. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in power plant operations, maintenance, or engineering management.
• Proven experience in managing power generation facilities and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of power plant systems, equipment, operations, and maintenance practices.
• Experience in operational budgeting, cost management, and performance optimization.
• Good understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental management.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities.
• Ability to manage operational challenges and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in English and relevant plant management systems.
