Overview We are seeking an experienced Plant & Operations Manager with a strong background in industrial operations, manufacturing, terminal operations, logistics, or field operations to join a stable and growing organization in Puerto Rico. This is a key leadership position with significant responsibility for overseeing day-to-day plant, terminal, production, fleet, and field operations. We are looking for a hands-on professional who can lead people, make sound operational decisions, solve problems, coordinate multiple areas, and maintain high standards of safety, productivity, service, and operational control. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to play a direct role in the execution and continuous improvement of business operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plant & Terminal Operations Direct daily plant and terminal operations. Coordinate receiving, storage, transfers, loading, dispatch, and product movements. Monitor operational capacity, physical inventory, product segregation, and operational controls. Identify and respond to abnormal operating conditions. Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, facilities, and fleet. Ensure operational continuity, efficiency, and reliability. Production & Field Operations Oversee receiving, handling, production, collection, and delivery activities. Coordinate drivers, routes, equipment, tanks, and customer operational requirements. Ensure proper product handling and compliance with quality controls. Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational records and documentation. Monitor execution of daily operational commitments. Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and efficiency. Personnel Supervision & Development Lead, supervise, and develop the operations team. Coordinate schedules, work assignments, and operational coverage. Monitor attendance, performance, productivity, and training needs. Support recruitment, selection, and performance-management processes. Cross-train employees to ensure reliable operational coverage. Promote a work environment based on accountability, teamwork, and high performance. Safety, Compliance & Operational Control Promote a strong culture of safety, organization, and operational discipline. Ensure required inspections, protocols, and documentation are completed. Coordinate responses to spills, accidents, equipment failures, and emergencies. Document and report environmental, regulatory, and safety incidents. Support audits, inspections, and compliance initiatives. Ensure safe operating practices are consistently followed across plant, terminal, fleet, and field operations. Customer, Vendor & Contractor Coordination Serve as the primary operational contact for customers, suppliers, transportation providers, and contractors. Coordinate services, commitments, and operational requirements. Maintain accurate records of key contacts, arrangements, commitments, and outstanding matters. Follow up effectively on issues requiring immediate attention. Maintain professional and productive relationships with customers, vendors, and service providers. Reporting & Management Communication Maintain an updated list of operational issues, priorities, and pending matters. Prepare and communicate operational metrics, incidents, equipment issues, and critical matters. Escalate situations requiring management attention or intervention. Document recurring procedures, processes, and operational deviations. Participate actively in operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide clear and timely information to support effective operational decision-making. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Manufacturing, or a related field. Significant experience in industrial operations, manufacturing, terminal operations, plant operations, logistics, or a related environment. Proven experience supervising employees and operational teams. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment. Excellent organizational, documentation, and follow-through skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and urgent operational matters simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, contractors, and employees. Proficiency with modern business technology, including productivity software, digital tools, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions . Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop practical solutions to operational challenges. Bilingual in English and Spanish , with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional and operational environment in Puerto Rico. Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year Benefits: Health insurance Work Location: In person
