The Plant Head will be responsible for production, maintenance, quality, safety, warehousing, logistics, procurement coordination, manpower management and overall factory performance . The successful candidate should bring strong operational discipline, improve productivity, minimize downtime and scrap, optimize resources and build a high-performing factory team. Key Responsibilities - Manage and oversee complete day-to-day factory and plant operations. - Develop and implement effective production plans to achieve monthly and annual production targets. - Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials and other resources . - Monitor production performance, productivity, downtime, yield, wastage and scrap. - Lead and coordinate Production, Maintenance, Engineering and Quality Control activities. - Work closely with the QC/Laboratory team to ensure products consistently meet required specifications and quality standards. - Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of plant machinery, utilities and facilities. - Maintain strict compliance with Quality, HSE and Occupational Health & Safety standards . - Coordinate effectively with Warehousing & Logistics, Procurement, Finance, HR & Administration, Sales & Marketing and other departments. - Establish, monitor and report operational KPIs/MIS , identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions. - Identify operational bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement, cost reduction and process optimization initiatives . - Develop and implement plant SOPs, policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency, discipline and housekeeping. - Monitor ongoing projects, shutdowns, maintenance schedules and future plant requirements. - Manage, develop and motivate factory employees through performance management, training, coaching and succession planning. - Support recruitment and retention of competent plant personnel. - Liaise with suppliers, contractors and vendors for plant-related products and services. - Participate in CAPEX planning and capital expenditure proposals . - Provide regular management reports on production, maintenance, quality, safety, manpower and overall plant performance. - Ensure smooth coordination between all factory functions and maintain readiness for 24-hour plant operations and emergency situations . - Promote the company's vision, mission, values and culture across the factory. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or a related discipline. - Minimum 10–15 years of manufacturing experience , preferably within chemical/petrochemical/process manufacturing . - Minimum 5 years in a senior plant/factory management role , such as Plant Head, Factory Manager, Plant Manager, Production Manager or equivalent. - Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, production planning, maintenance, quality control and HSE . - Experience managing production targets, plant KPIs, manpower, machinery utilization, downtime, wastage and operational costs. - Strong exposure to continuous improvement and productivity enhancement . - Valid UAE Driving Licence preferred/required. - Good understanding of the chemical industry and manufacturing business environment. Key Competencies Strong leadership and people-management skills are essential, together with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. The candidate should be capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, coordinating multiple departments and handling operational challenges independently. Good written and verbal English communication skills are required, along with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and MIS reporting . What We Are Looking For A hands-on Plant Head who can bring structure, discipline, accountability and operational efficiency to the factory. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to increase production, improve productivity, reduce downtime and wastage, control costs, maintain quality and safety standards, and develop a strong-performing factory team .
