Job Description

A well-established group of companies in Abu Dhabi, operating in the Construction, General Contracting, Manufacturing, and Marble Production sectors , is urgently seeking a highly experienced and competent Planning Engineer (Civil) to manage the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and coordination of multiple ongoing projects.

The ideal candidate must have a strong Civil Engineering background, extensive UAE construction industry experience, and proven expertise in handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, and monitor detailed project schedules, baseline programmes, and recovery plans for multiple construction projects.
• Plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within approved budgets and deadlines.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, S-curves, manpower histograms, and project performance dashboards.
• Monitor project milestones, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, Subcontractors, and Management.
• Prepare resource-loaded schedules, manpower planning, equipment allocation, and material procurement schedules.
• Monitor actual progress against approved baseline schedules and identify critical activities.
• Prepare delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) documentation, and recovery schedules.
• Coordinate planning activities across construction, manufacturing, marble production, and installation works.
• Attend project progress meetings and provide regular planning updates to Senior Management.
• Ensure effective coordination between engineering, procurement, production, and site execution teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) – Mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant UAE experience in construction project planning – Mandatory.
• Proven experience in planning and monitoring multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, project execution procedures, and consultant requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel – Mandatory.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, critical path analysis, resource planning, and delay analysis.
• Experience in building construction, infrastructure, finishing works, or marble-related projects will be an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project deadlines.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be given preference.
