POSITION SUMMARY The Piling Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, monitoring, and coordinating piling works at the project site to ensure that all piling activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality standards, and project schedules. The position works closely with the Construction Manager, Site Engineers, Survey Team, QA/QC, HSE, subcontractors, consultants, and other project personnel to ensure the successful completion of foundation and piling works. II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. Piling Works Supervision Supervise daily piling operations, including bored piling, driven piling, or other approved foundation systems. Ensure piling activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and construction procedures. Monitor pile location, alignment, verticality, depth, diameter, and other required parameters. Supervise drilling, boring, casing installation, reinforcement cage installation, concreting, and pile testing activities. Monitor piling equipment, materials, manpower, and productivity. Coordinate with subcontractors and equipment operators to ensure efficient execution of piling works. Identify site constraints and immediately coordinate appropriate corrective actions. B. Engineering and Technical Responsibilities Review approved construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and relevant technical documents. Prepare and maintain piling work plans, schedules, and daily activity requirements. Assist in determining appropriate construction sequence and methodology for piling activities. Check pile coordinates and elevations in coordination with the Survey Team. Review piling records and verify that actual site conditions comply with approved requirements. Assist in resolving technical issues and site conditions affecting piling works. Coordinate with the design and engineering team regarding discrepancies, design changes, and technical concerns. C. Quality Control Coordinate with QA/QC personnel to ensure compliance with project quality requirements. Monitor concrete pouring, concrete volume, concrete quality, reinforcement installation, and other critical piling activities. Ensure required inspections and testing are properly conducted and documented. Review pile installation records, bore logs, concrete records, pile integrity test results, load test results, and other relevant documentation. Assist in the preparation and implementation of corrective actions for non-conforming works. Ensure all piling works are properly documented and traceable. D. Safety and HSE Compliance Ensure piling activities are performed in accordance with project HSE requirements and applicable Philippine occupational safety and health standards. Coordinate with the HSE Department regarding hazards and risks associated with piling operations. Participate in toolbox meetings, safety inspections, and risk assessments as required. Ensure proper use of PPE and safe operation of piling equipment. Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, equipment problems, or other hazards to the concerned personnel. Support the implementation of corrective and preventive measures. E. Progress Monitoring and Reporting Monitor daily piling progress against the approved project schedule. Prepare daily and weekly piling progress reports. Maintain accurate records of completed piles, pile numbers, locations, depths, dates, concrete quantities, and other relevant data. Monitor equipment utilization, manpower deployment, and productivity. Identify delays, constraints, and potential schedule impacts and report them to the Construction Manager. Provide recommendations to improve productivity and maintain project milestones. F. Coordination Coordinate with Construction, QA/QC, HSE, Survey, Planning, Procurement, and other project departments. Coordinate with piling subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and other stakeholders. Attend coordination meetings and provide technical updates concerning piling activities. Assist in resolving conflicts between piling works and other construction activities. Pay: Php35,000.00 - Php45,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
