The role focuses on inventory management, food safety compliance, customer service, sales performance, and team supervision while maintaining efficient operations and minimizing product losses. Key Duties and Responsibilities Operations Management Supervise the daily operations of the pick-up grocery section. Ensure products are properly displayed, labeled, and priced. Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand. Coordinate replenishment of grocery items with the warehouse or commissary. Monitor product availability and prevent stock shortages. Inventory Management Conduct daily inventory monitoring and stock reconciliation. Ensure First-In, First-Out (FIFO) and First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) practices are implemented. Monitor slow-moving, damaged, expired, and returned items. Investigate inventory discrepancies and prepare variance reports. Minimize product wastage through proper inventory control. Food Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with Food Safety standards and company policies. Monitor proper storage temperatures and sanitation practices. Ensure all products meet quality standards before display. Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage and selling areas. Support internal and external food safety audits. Team Leadership Supervise grocery staff and assign daily tasks. Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and performance. Conduct coaching and on-the-job training. Ensure employees comply with company policies, grooming, and food safety requirements. Recommend disciplinary actions and performance improvements when necessary. Customer Service Ensure customers receive prompt and courteous service. Resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally. Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction. Promote grocery items and assist in merchandising initiatives. Sales and Financial Control Monitor daily sales performance. Prepare daily sales and inventory reports. Recommend promotional activities to increase sales. Control operational costs and minimize shrinkage. Documentation and Reporting Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. Submit inventory, sales, wastage, and incident reports. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, transfers, and stock movements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Food Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. At least 2–3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in grocery, retail, supermarket, cafeteria, food service, or food manufacturing operations. Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations. Familiarity with food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, FIFO, FEFO). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory/POS systems. Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
