Philanthropy and Development Manager Reports to: Senior Director of Development Position Summary Boston CASA is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Philanthropy and Development Manager to join its growing Development team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, this position will work collaboratively with the Senior Director of Development and Grants & Development Manager to advance the organization’s ambitious five-year strategic growth plan. The Philanthropy and Development Manager will play a key role in expanding philanthropic support, strengthening corporate partnerships, increasing donor engagement, and elevating Boston CASA’s visibility through strategic communications and marketing efforts. This position combines frontline fundraising with compelling storytelling to help ensure that more children and youth experiencing abuse and neglect receive the advocacy of a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Essential Responsibilities Donor Management & Corporate Partnerships Identify, research, and develop new sponsorship opportunities Coordinate donor meetings, site visits, and cultivation events with the Senior Director of Development Prepare donor proposals, sponsorship packages, presentations, and stewardship reports Maintain accurate donor records and track cultivation activities within the donor database Communications & Marketing Update website content to ensure information remains current, compelling, and mission-focused - Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all communication platforms and materials Gather stories, photographs, and impact data to communicate Boston CASA’s mission and outcomes effectively Manage Boston CASA’s social media presence and content calendar CRM, Data Management & Fundraising Analytics Manage and maintain Boston CASA’s CRM, ensuring donor, prospect, corporate, foundation, and other constituent records are accurate, complete, and consistently updated Oversee gift processing and data integrity, including recording contributions, pledges, donor communications, acknowledgments, and relevant stewardship activity in accordance with established procedures – Develop and maintain donor reporting and dashboards to track fundraising performance, donor retention, acquisition, giving trends, pipeline activity, and progress toward annual development goals Support donor cultivation and stewardship by maintaining accurate donor histories, tracking engagement and follow-up activities, and identifying opportunities for increased or renewed giving Manage donor segmentation and data analysis to support targeted appeals, campaigns, events, major gifts, and corporate and foundation fundraising strategies Establish and maintain CRM policies, procedures, and best practices, including data entry standards, database cleanup, reporting protocols, and Development staff training to ensure the CRM serves as an effective fundraising tool Prepare reports and fundraising metrics for leadership and the Board of Directors Perform other development-related duties that support the organizations strategic growth priorities Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, communications, marketing, or a related field Demonstrated success managing donor relationships and securing major gifts and/or corporate sponsorships Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop compelling fundraising and marketing materials Experience managing social media platforms, websites, and digital marketing initiatives Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Experience using donor database/CRM systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with graphic design platforms such as Canva preferred Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team Passion for Boston CASA’s mission and commitment to serving children and youth involved in the child welfare system Preferred Qualifications Experience working in nonprofit development, particularly major gifts, corporate partnerships, or annual giving Experience working with volunteers, boards, or fundraising committees Knowledge of donor stewardship best practices and integrated communications strategies Compensation & Benefits Salary: 71K-85K Boston CASA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, holidays, and professional development opportunities.
