This position is primarily performed remotely from the convenience of your home office, however, occasional attendance for in person meetings with the CORT team in Austin or Dallas Texas will be required. The PeopleSoft Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, maintenance, and production support of CORT's highly customized PeopleSoft environment built primarily with PeopleTools. This role partners with business, product, quality assurance, infrastructure, integration, and support teams to translate business needs into secure, reliable, maintainable solutions. The successful candidate brings at least five years of hands-on PeopleSoft development experience and can work effectively across custom applications, integrations, batch processes, reporting, upgrades, and production troubleshooting. Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is a plus. The position may require limited off-hours support for releases, maintenance, upgrades, and critical production issues. Salary : $100,000-$105,000 / year depending on experience. Analyze business and technical requirements and recommend solutions that fit the overall PeopleSoft architecture and CORT development standards. Design, develop, test, document, implement, and support custom PeopleSoft applications and enhancements using PeopleTools. Develop and maintain PeopleCode, Application Engine programs, Component Interfaces, Application Packages, Integration Broker services, Fluid and Classic components, pages, records, menus, security objects, queries, and reports. Create and maintain integrations between PeopleSoft and internal or third-party platforms using web services, REST or SOAP interfaces, file-based exchanges, APIs, and other approved integration methods. Develop and support batch processes, scheduled jobs, data conversions, interfaces, reports, and operational utilities using appropriate PeopleSoft and database tools. Troubleshoot complex issues across development, test, quality assurance, and production environments, including custom code, integrations, performance, data, security, and process scheduling. Review and safely modify custom code written by current or former team members and third parties. Write efficient SQL and work with relational database structures, data models, and performance considerations. Participate in PeopleTools upgrades, patching, retrofits, regression testing, environment validation, and release activities. Apply secure coding, source control, change management, peer review, testing, and deployment practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Produce clear technical designs, support documentation, test evidence, implementation plans, rollback plans, and operational runbooks. Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to clarify requirements, communicate risks, provide estimates, and resolve defects. Design solutions that balance business value, performance, reliability, security, supportability, and long-term maintenance overhead. Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to team members, vendors, and support partners. Prioritize multiple objectives and initiatives while maintaining ownership, transparency, and timely communication. Participate in limited off-hours production support, maintenance, deployment, and incident response as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Required Five or more years of hands-on PeopleSoft application development experience using PeopleTools. Demonstrated experience developing and supporting highly customized PeopleSoft applications. Proficiency with PeopleCode and several core PeopleTools technologies, such as Application Designer, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Application Packages, Integration Broker, Fluid or Classic user interfaces, PS Query, and Process Scheduler. Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases, data structures, and application performance troubleshooting. Experience with integrations, APIs or web services, file interfaces, batch processing, data conversions, and production support. Experience troubleshooting and enhancing code developed by other teams or third parties. Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and support. Experience working with source control, release management, change control, and peer review practices. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across distributed teams. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Education and/or Experience Preferred Experience developing or supporting PeopleSoft Financials modules or related financial business processes. Experience supporting PeopleTools upgrades, patches, retrofits, and regression testing. Experience with SQR, BI Publisher, nVision, or other PeopleSoft reporting and batch technologies. Experience integrating PeopleSoft with enterprise platforms, middleware, tax, payment, planning, CRM, identity, or reporting solutions. Experience with automated testing, application monitoring, log analysis, performance tuning, DevOps practices, or cloud-hosted infrastructure. Experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or a comparable iterative delivery model.
