About you and this role Dow has an exciting opportunity for a People Relations Manager located in Seadrift, Texas . As a People Relations Manager, you will serve as the primary People Relations focal point for site leaders and employees, providing specialized expertise in employee and labor relations, workplace concerns, investigations, performance management, and organizational risk mitigation. You will partner closely with leaders to address complex people matters, ensure consistent application of policies and practices, and foster a positive, compliant, and respectful work environment. Success in this position requires strong judgment, business acumen, credibility with leaders, and the ability to balance employee experience, business needs, and risk management. Responsibilities Serve as the primary People Relations partner for site leadership, providing consultation and guidance on employee and labor relations matters, workplace concerns, performance management, investigations, and organizational risk issues. Own the end-to-end management of employee relations cases, ensuring timely, fair, and consistent resolution while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, company policies, and governance requirements. Conduct and lead workplace investigations, assess risk, document findings, and recommend appropriate actions and resolutions. Coach and influence leaders on employee relations decisions, corrective actions, performance concerns, conflict resolution, workplace conduct, and organizational change. Identify emerging employee relations risks, workforce trends, and workplace concerns, proactively engaging the appropriate HR disciplines and business leaders to mitigate risk and improve outcomes. Partner effectively with HR Strategic Advisory, Workforce Insights, HR Operations, and the HR Disciplines to ensure issues are addressed through the appropriate expertise, governance, and support channels. Support leaders during periods of organizational change by providing guidance on employee impacts, risk considerations, communication approaches, and change implementation. Partner across geographies and HR disciplines to deliver consistent employee relations support while ensuring compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking. A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience. Previous HR experience. Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card. A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. Preferred Qualifications A degree discipline in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Labor Relations, or other related field. Knowledge of U.S. employment and labor laws. Client facing experience. Previous labor relations experience. Prior Workday experience. Skills Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze data and situations, make recommendations, and assist with implementation. Relationship Management: Ability to build solid relationships with clients through expertise and consultation. Interpersonal Communication: Excellent interpersonal effectiveness skills, including but not limited to effective two-way communication, and negotiation skills. Employee Relations: Ability to provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution. Change Management: Ability to partner with leaders and employees through organizational changes by facilitating communication, managing resistance, and supporting successful adoption of new processes and initiatives.
