Responsibilities: · Payroll - collects and reviews daily employee punches. Work with employees and managers to obtain missing information. Process weekly payroll and corresponding returns and garnishments. Process year end W-2's and monthly, quarterly and yearend tax reporting and returns. Issues and obtains all necessary new hire documents and processes required to term employee activities including insurance and uniforms. Works with uniform company resolving missing items and billing issues. · HR Generalist - Assists with the talent acquisition and hiring process, including scheduling interviews, conducting new employee orientation, and posting job ads. Maintain employee records and enter employee changes in the systems timely and accurately. Assist with the administration of employee benefits; including open enrollment processes Monitor the orientation period for new employees ensuring necessary paperwork, performance reviews, and training is complete. Verify employment of employees as requested. (garnishments, child support items) Follow up on all unemployment cases. Assists with employee disciplinary documentation, meetings, terminations, investigations, and the offboarding process. Provides additional support to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. · Other accounting duties as assigned · Other duties as assigned Work Hours: ·Part Time - 18 to 20 hours per week between Monday – Thursday - - Flexible start time; as early as 8:30am and as late as 4:15pm Required Qualifications · 3 year of experience in an accounting position · Working knowledge of MS Office, intermediate level skills desired · Experience with Quickbooks · Results driven, thorough and highly organized while managing large volume of documents or data · Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English · Ability to deal with simultaneous tasks and priorities through outstanding time management skills · Strong entrepreneurial spirt and resourceful that spurs innovation and problem solving. Key Responsibilities · Must be self-motivated, energetic and require minimal supervision · Must be able to keep information confidential and be professional · Must be able to take direction · Must be dependable and reliable · Must be able to operate computer and printer · Effectively and professionally solicit information from internal/external customers (both in person, phone, email) as well as respond to their need for information and assistance with clear and concise verbal directions · Responsible for keeping computer updated with information and maintaining computer and printer in good working condition. · Responsible for achieving and maintaining superior housekeeping standards, keeping area free of dust and clutter as much as possible. This includes but is not limited to desk, file cabinets, shelves, the computer and printer. Cleaning of office as needed · Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed or assigned · Answer business phone and provide superior customer service · Ability to multitask Education High School Diploma or equivalent, one to three years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of both. Work Requirements · Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check · Display a professional and courteous attitude toward co-workers, supervisors and the general public · Demonstrated proficiency with computers and Microsoft Excel & Word is required Additional Requirements · Possess good verbal and written communication skills · Understand and execute oral and written directions · Must be able to us basic data review, and reconciliation techniques · Must be able to work in a team environment · Possess initiative and good judgment within established guidelines · Have the ability to represent the Company in a professional manner both at the scale house and when dealing with the public · Use the scales according to applicable laws and rules and company policy. · Be able to use basic arithmetic, a calculator and knowledge of cash handling procedures. · Responsible for the accuracy of all entries on scale tickets. Physical Requirements · Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. · May require sitting or standing for extended periods of time. -Sedentary work, sitting for extended periods of time. - Staring at a screen for an extended period. · Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus. · Able to move/carry up to 20 lbs.
