# Payroll Accountant **Safeway Philtech** · Taguig · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 4 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job descrptions Main responsibilities Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to payroll accounting and ensure timely completion of all assigned close deliverables Calculate, review, and record payroll accruals related to wages, bonuses, benefits, severance, retirement contributions, and other employee-related expenses Prepare and maintain amortization schedules for incentive programs, sign-on bonuses, and other deferred compensation arrangements Own and perform reconciliations of payroll-related balance sheet accounts to ensure balances are accurate, supported, and compliant with company policies Support labor cost transfers, emergency labor allocations, and special accounting projects impacting payroll expenses Query and analyze weekly large volumes of payroll and accounting data and translate findings into financial calculations, reports, and accounting entries Partner with Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, Operations, and other business partners to ensure payroll-related accounting activities are accurately reflected in the general ledger Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency Train and assist associates in specific accounting tasks and in the use of systems. Assist leadership with workload assessments, prioritization, and completion of critical accounting deliverables What we are searching for Experience owning and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules Coordinating and ensuring all tasks are completed on time. Providing guidance to internal/external customers. Accountable for maintaining department applications and systems functionality requiring a high level of decision making and technical abilities. Support team members on all accounting issues. Look for areas of opportunity to create enhancements and efficiencies within existing systems and processes. Analyze financial data using Excel, Access, and other query tools. Ability to build effective working relationships across departments and levels of the organization Participate and support all departmental functions while continuing to motivate others. We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field Minimum of 2 years of lead, senior or supervisory experience 4+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion, Oracle ERP, SAP, or other large-scale accounting systems Experience performing general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and account analysis Payroll Accounting experience is preferred but not required. Advance technical skills to support change and enhance processes Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reconciliation techniques Excellent interpersonal skills and able to perform in a team environment Working knowledge of Oracle or large- scale accounting systems a plus Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision under rigid time constraints Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a deadline-driven environment Pay: Php50,000.00 - Php60,000.00 per month Benefits: Company Christmas gift Company events Employee stock ownership plan Free parking Gym membership Health insurance Life insurance Opportunities for promotion Promotion to permanent employee Work Location: In person
