Job Title: Pastry Chef / Production Supervisor Employment Type: Full-time Salary Range: ₱30,000 – ₱35,000 per month Reports To: Production Manager Core Responsibilities : Pastry Production & Quality Control Lead the daily preparation, baking, and assembly of high-volume pastry, dessert, and breadlines. Conduct kitchen trials, optimize recipes for bulk production, and troubleshoot process or ingredient bottlenecks. Enforce portion control, yield monitoring, and visual standardizations so that every product matches established specifications. Shift Management & Supervision Review daily production schedules and assign staff workloads efficiently to maximize output and avoid downtime. Manage shift rotations, attendance tracking, and task delegation for a dedicated team of bakers and kitchen assistants. Coordinate seamlessly with quality control, material dispatch, and maintenance departments. Food Safety & Plant Operations Maintain an exceptionally clean facility by enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and HACCP workflows. Ensure safe operation of industrial equipment, including large-scale rack ovens, high-capacity mixers, and production lines. Oversee raw material inventory usage, monitor waste percentages, and document accurate batch records. Job Requirements Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Pastry Chef, Lead Baker, or Production Supervisor in a high-volume commercial bakery, central kitchen, or commissary setting. Education: Graduate of Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, Food Technology, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or a related field. Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of industrial kitchen workflows, scaling recipes, food costing, and material resource planning. Leadership & Traits: Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, clear communication skills, and the physical stamina to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
