About BMT Business Movers Technology is a growing workplace-technology company helping organisations create better-connected, more effective workplaces. We provide services including IT support, connectivity, audio-visual systems and meeting-room technology. We are moving into a new office in Farringdon and are looking for a capable, proactive Office & Operations Manager to help us build an organised and efficient working environment. This is an important role at the heart of the business. You will help the team communicate effectively, ensure work is followed through and take ownership of the everyday operational details that keep the company running smoothly. By doing this, you will enable our two business owners to spend more time developing client relationships and growing the company. The role Your responsibilities will include: Managing the day-to-day running of the Farringdon office Creating practical systems, routines and processes that improve efficiency Coordinating priorities, meetings, actions and internal communications Making sure agreed actions are assigned, monitored and completed Supporting the owners with planning, organisation and follow-up Helping team members stay clear about priorities and responsibilities Improving the organisation of company information, documents and workflows Coordinating suppliers, facilities, equipment and office requirements Supporting recruitment, onboarding, holidays and basic people administration Assisting with invoices, expenses and other routine business administration Identifying operational problems and taking the initiative to resolve them Helping to build a positive, accountable and well-organised company culture The responsibilities will evolve as the company grows, so the role would suit someone comfortable working in a small business where priorities can change and initiative is valued. About you You may already be an experienced office, operations or business support manager, or you may be an ambitious administrator ready to take on greater responsibility. You will ideally have: Excellent organisational and communication skills A proactive approach—you notice what needs doing and make it happen The confidence to follow up with people and keep work moving Strong attention to detail and a reliable, methodical working style Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and everyday business systems The ability to prioritise independently in a busy environment Discretion when handling confidential business and employee information Experience in a small or growing business, although this is not essential Experience in technology, IT, audio visual or the commercial property sector would be helpful but is not required. Your ability to organise people, information and priorities is more important. Why join BMT?
