The candidate must be competent, organized and stable. Some of the required skills must include the ability to obtain medical records and bills from medical facilities and draft discovery responses for our valued personal injury clients. The candidate should be organized, computer-savvy, and maintain a positive attitude. The position is flexible but will require in-person days at the office. Prior experience in a law firm or medical setting is required. The compensation will be based on prior skill level, experience and productivity. Responsibilities: - Organize and maintain medical records in a medical office setting - Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records - Retrieve and file medical records as needed - Assist with data entry and updating patient information in electronic health record systems - Follow established procedures for record storage, retention, and disposal - Respond to requests for medical records from healthcare providers and patients - Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required - Previous experience working with medical records or in a medical office preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology and basic understanding of healthcare processes - Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other computer applications - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Please provide an updated resume with an introductory email to explain background, skills and interests.
