About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Finance & Procurement Project Lead to support one of our clients in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate must have strong, hands-on experience working with Oracle Finance and Procurement modules, combined with project management, stakeholder coordination, and client-facing delivery experience.

This is a hybrid functional and project leadership role. The candidate should understand Oracle Finance and Procurement processes in depth, have practical experience supporting or implementing these modules, and be capable of coordinating Oracle functional and technical teams to drive project activities, enhancements, issue resolution, and delivery.

The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, Oracle functional and technical teams, and global/offshore delivery teams, ensuring that business requirements are translated into effective Oracle solutions and delivered within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Oracle Finance & Procurement

  • Demonstrate hands-on experience with Oracle Finance and Procurement modules.
  • Understand and discuss business processes, functional requirements, configurations, and workflows across Finance and Procurement.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, functional analysis, solution discussions, and process improvements.
  • Coordinate Oracle Finance and Procurement implementations, enhancements, integrations, and production-support activities.
  • Work closely with functional and technical SMEs to investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive resolution.
  • Understand dependencies between Finance, Procurement, SCM, integrations, reporting, and other related Oracle workstreams.
  • Support functional testing, UAT, deployment, cutover, and post-go-live activities.

Project Management & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Lead and coordinate Oracle project activities, deliverables, priorities, timelines, and milestones.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the client, business stakeholders, Oracle teams, and offshore delivery teams.
  • Manage multiple workstreams and ensure effective coordination across functional and technical teams.
  • Lead project meetings, status calls, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Track project progress, risks, dependencies, issues, action items, and escalations through closure.
  • Ensure requirements, decisions, deliverables, and project updates are properly documented.
  • Coordinate resources and ensure teams remain aligned with project objectives and timelines.
  • Provide regular progress reports and communicate delivery status, challenges, and risks to senior stakeholders.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of experience working within Oracle environments, preferably Oracle Fusion Cloud / Oracle ERP.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience in Oracle Finance and Procurement modules.
  • Strong understanding of Finance processes such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and related financial processes.
  • Practical experience with Procurement processes, including purchasing, requisitions, purchase orders, supplier management, and procure-to-pay workflows.
  • Experience supporting or delivering Oracle implementations, rollouts, enhancements, upgrades, or production-support engagements.
  • Strong project management or project coordination experience, preferably managing Oracle-related projects or multiple workstreams.
  • Ability to understand functional configurations, business processes, and technical discussions across Oracle workstreams.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, conducting functional analysis, coordinating testing and UAT, and supporting deployments.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience coordinating with global and offshore delivery teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive teams toward resolution and delivery.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
  • Exposure to other Oracle areas such as SCM, HCM, Projects, Reporting, Integrations, OIC, and Security.
  • Prior UAE/GCC project experience.
  • Experience working in consulting, implementation, or client-facing delivery environments.
  • Relevant Oracle certifications.

What We're Really Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines hands-on Oracle Finance and Procurement expertise with the ability to lead and coordinate projects.

The candidate should not be purely a project manager who relies entirely on functional SMEs, nor should they be limited to an individual contributor role without project coordination experience.

They should understand Finance and Procurement processes well enough to engage in functional discussions, assess requirements, understand configuration and solution-related decisions, and work directly with Oracle teams to resolve issues.

At the same time, they must be capable of managing stakeholders, coordinating functional and technical teams, tracking deliverables, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring successful project execution.

The ideal candidate is an Oracle Finance and Procurement professional who has progressed into a project lead or project management role while retaining strong functional expertise.

Important

  • This is a hybrid position based in Abu Dhabi, requiring onsite presence approximately 2–3 days per week.
  • Maximum salary for this position is AED 20,000 per month.
  • UAE employment visa/work authorization sponsorship can be provided where applicable.
  • Immediate joiners are strongly preferred. Candidates available within 2–4 weeks will receive preference. Notice periods of up to one month may also be considered.
  • Candidates must have hands-on Oracle Finance AND Procurement experience, along with project management or project leadership capabilities.
