About the role

Trucky is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day trucking operations. You’ll be the main point of contact for drivers and corporate customers, taking each booking from the initial request through to delivery. You’ll also keep our order system and driver payout spreadsheet up to date so the team can see which jobs are active, which are complete, and which are ready for payment.

What you’ll do

Manage bookings and dispatch

• Review incoming transport requests and confirm the truck type, pickup and delivery locations, timing, and any special instructions.
• Check driver availability, assign trucks to jobs, and make sure drivers have the information they need before pickup.
• Follow up on active jobs throughout the day and confirm pickups and deliveries with drivers.
• Handle schedule changes, delays, and vehicle availability issues. Coordinate a revised plan with the driver and customer when needed.

Support corporate customers

• Respond to booking requests and questions in clear, professional English.
• Confirm booking details with customers and keep them informed when a pickup or delivery time changes.
• Follow up on open requests and communicate any unresolved issues to the appropriate person.

Maintain order and payout records

• Enter new bookings in Trucky’s internal system and update driver assignments, schedules, and order statuses as jobs progress.
• Record completed jobs and check that the order details match the service provided.
• Update the driver payout spreadsheet, verify payout details against completed orders, and flag missing information or discrepancies before payments are processed.

What we’re looking for

• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Experience in trucking, logistics, dispatch, transport coordination, or a similar operations role.
• Clear communication with drivers and corporate customers, including when handling urgent changes or delays.
• Confidence using spreadsheets and learning an internal order management system.
• Strong attention to detail when recording bookings and checking payout information.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize several active jobs, and follow through on outstanding issues while working remotely.
• Availability to work on-site a few days per month as needed.
