We're hiring an Operations Manager to step into duties currently held by a founding partner and run the operational engine of the company. This is a senior, field-based leadership role reporting directly to ownership. You'll own estimating review, scheduling, field team oversight, payroll reporting, and GC relationships across all active projects. What you'll do · Review estimates, takeoffs, and bid packages for accuracy, scope gaps, and margin before proposals go out · Build and maintain master schedules across all active framing projects, sequencing crews, equipment, and material deliveries · Oversee foremen and framing crews across multiple jobsites — quality, safety, production rates, and performance · Own the weekly field payroll reports sent to payroll: review timecards, cost codes, and job allocations, and reconcile field hours against project budgets · Serve as the primary operations contact for general contractors and their field teams; attend jobsite, OAC, and precon meetings · Partner with ownership on hiring, crew structure, and process improvement What you need · 10+ years in multifamily, commercial, or large-scale residential framing · 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Operations Manager, General Superintendent, Director of Operations, or Senior PM) · Proven experience running multiple concurrent framing projects — not a single-project superintendent background · Ability to review framing estimates and takeoffs independently and catch errors and risk · Strong command of weekly field payroll, cost coding, and labor tracking · Established credibility with general contractors and their field leadership · Valid California driver's license Nice to have · Wood-frame multifamily experience (podium, wrap, garden-style, Type V) · $50M+ projects or $5M+ framing scopes · Procore and Bluebeam · Bilingual English/Spanish · California prevailing wage and certified payroll familiarity · OSHA 30 What we offer · $175,000 – $200,000 base, depending on experience · Performance bonus up to 15% of base, tied to margin, schedule, safety, and quality · Company truck or vehicle allowance, plus fuel and phone · 401(k) with company match · Medical, dental, and vision — majority of employee premium covered · Paid time off and holidays · A direct seat at the leadership table with real ownership of operations This is not a training role.
