The right candidate will be responsible for daily operations, sales, customer communication, scheduling, staffing, and team performance. As the company grows, this position may expand into overseeing both our Los Angeles and Hawaii markets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage day-to-day moving operations Coordinate daily and upcoming job schedules Schedule crews, foremen, and drivers Make sure every job is properly staffed and prepared Answer incoming customer calls, texts, and inquiries Follow up with new leads and convert inquiries into booked moves Prepare estimates and confirmations Maintain professional communication with customers before, during, and after each move Resolve customer concerns and operational issues Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new employees Monitor employee attendance, performance, and reliability Maintain sufficient staffing for current and upcoming jobs Monitor job profitability and operational efficiency Track leads, bookings, cancellations, revenue, customer issues, and other KPIs Help develop and grow the Los Angeles market Provide ownership with clear daily and weekly operational updates Eventually assist with management of both Los Angeles and Hawaii operations QUALIFICATIONS Previous management or operational experience preferred Experience in moving, logistics, transportation, home services, or a related industry is strongly preferred Strong sales and customer-service skills Excellent spoken and written English Strong organizational and scheduling skills Comfortable managing multiple jobs, customers, and employees simultaneously Strong leadership and problem-solving ability Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently Comfortable working in a fast-paced small-business environment Able to take ownership of results instead of waiting for constant direction WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are not looking for someone who simply answers phones or creates schedules. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the operation, build a strong team, increase booked jobs, maintain excellent customer service, and help grow AB Moving Services into a larger multi-market company. GROWTH OPPORTUNITY The initial focus will be on rebuilding and growing our Los Angeles operation. For the right person, this position can develop into a senior management role overseeing operations in both Los Angeles and Hawaii.
