# Operations Manager-MEP **Venco Imtiaz Contracting Co** · Dubai · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: сегодня* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Job Summary: The MEP Operations Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities across multiple building projects within an assigned zone. The role involves strategic oversight of both in-house and subcontracted MEP works, ensuring technical compliance, cost control, resource optimization, and seamless integration of MEP systems with architectural and structural elements. The position demands deep technical expertise, strong leadership across multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to manage concurrent project streams under demanding schedules and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, plan, and control MEP activities across multiple building projects within the assigned zone to ensure compliance with project specifications, design intent, and contractual requirements. - Supervise and coordinate MEP Project Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors across all projects to ensure uniformity in execution standards, methodologies, and reporting. - Review and validate MEP designs, drawings, and coordination layouts for technical accuracy, constructability, and value engineering opportunities before and during execution. - Oversee the procurement strategy for major MEP materials, equipment, and subcontract packages, ensure timely delivery aligned with project schedules and approved budgets. - Manage the interface between architectural, structural, and MEP services to prevent conflicts, delays, or rework through proactive coordination and BIM-based clash resolution. - Ensure all MEP works whether self-performed or subcontracted adhere to local authority regulations, project specifications, and international engineering standards. - Monitor manpower loading, resource allocation, and productivity across projects, optimize internal MEP workforce utilization within the zone. - Conduct periodic site inspections and audits to verify installation quality, safety compliance, and adherence to approved method statements and inspection test plans (ITPs). - Manage and guide MEP subcontractors and ensure their performance aligns with contractual deliverables, milestones, and company standards. - Review project look-ahead schedules, track progress, and intervene promptly to resolve technical or resource bottlenecks impacting project timelines. - Drive technical meetings with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve design discrepancies, site constraints, or technical queries (RFIs). - Validate material submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to client submission. - Control and report MEP cost performance within each project, identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality or functionality. - Coordinate with central planning, QA/QC, and procurement departments for smooth inter-departmental integration and operational efficiency. - Provide monthly zone-level reports on progress, productivity, cost, quality, and risk factors to senior management. Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. - 18 or more years of progressive experience in MEP with main contractors as well as MEP contractors having a minimum of 6 years as a manager within large-scale building construction projects managing multiple projects in Dubai simultaneously. - Proficiency in MEP design review, value engineering, coordination with architectural and structural disciplines, and construction methodologies.
