We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Operations Manager to lead our Fabrication and Pump Repair Departments. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing daily operations, developing high-performing teams, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a solid technical background who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and enjoys developing employees, solving problems, and driving operational improvements. Key Responsibilities Operations & Production Management Provide leadership and oversight of the Fabrication and Pump Repair Departments through department supervisors. Plan, coordinate, and manage production schedules to meet project requirements and customer deadlines. Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, and senior management to ensure efficient project execution. Oversee pump repair operations, including repair estimates, scheduling, and project completion. Monitor labor utilization, productivity, quality, and operating costs to maximize operational efficiency. Oversee equipment, machinery, and facility maintenance to minimize downtime. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop department supervisors and employees. Establish clear performance expectations and hold teams accountable for safety, quality, and productivity. Participate in hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee development. Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work environment. Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with applicable OSHA and MSHA regulations. Maintain high standards for workmanship, quality control, and customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve operational performance. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial operations, manufacturing, fabrication, mechanical repair, or a related industry. Demonstrated experience managing supervisors and overseeing multiple operational departments. Strong technical understanding of fabrication processes, mechanical equipment, and repair operations. Experience overseeing workplace safety programs and quality control processes. Proven ability to manage production schedules, operational budgets, and employee performance. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize competing demands and make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with industrial pumps, rotating equipment, or fluid-handling systems. Experience in engineered-to-order or project-based manufacturing environments. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, process improvement, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Experience supporting mining or heavy industrial operations.
