This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing our residential and commercial installation operations, managing field crews, maintaining installation quality, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on residential glazing installation experience, preferably with additional commercial glazing experience, along with demonstrated experience leading and managing installers or field crews. This position is best suited for an experienced glazier who has progressed into a leadership or superintendent role but still has the technical knowledge and field experience to train crews, troubleshoot difficult installations, perform site inspections, and step in when needed. Responsibilities Lead and manage the company's residential and commercial glazing installation crews. Oversee daily field operations, crew assignments, scheduling, and job execution. Provide hands-on technical leadership and installation guidance to field personnel. Inspect jobs before, during, and after installation to ensure quality workmanship and proper installation practices. Train, coach, and develop glaziers and installers to improve quality, productivity, and technical capabilities. Troubleshoot difficult field conditions, installation problems, measurements, hardware issues, and service-related challenges. Coordinate with office staff, sales, purchasing, and field personnel to ensure jobs are properly prepared before crews are dispatched. Review job scopes, measurements, materials, hardware, and installation requirements prior to installation. Ensure crews have the correct materials, equipment, tools, and information necessary to complete each job. Monitor job progress and proactively address delays, installation issues, callbacks, and customer concerns. Maintain high standards for workmanship, jobsite cleanliness, professionalism, and customer service. Conduct field measurements and site inspections when needed. Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and applicable jobsite safety requirements. Help establish and enforce consistent installation procedures, quality-control standards, and field operating processes. Manage multiple active projects and crews while maintaining accountability for schedules and completion dates. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, property managers, homeowners, and other project stakeholders as needed. Assist directly in the field when technical expertise or additional leadership is required. Required Experience & Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on residential glazing installation experience required. Extensive experience installing and servicing residential glass products, including shower enclosures, mirrors, insulated glass units, window glass, and related glazing applications. Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, or managing glazing installers or construction field crews. Strong understanding of proper field measurement, glass installation, hardware installation, sealants, troubleshooting, and glazing best practices. Ability to inspect another installer's work and identify workmanship, measurement, hardware, or installation issues. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple crews and active jobs simultaneously. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to interact professionally with homeowners, contractors, property managers, vendors, and employees. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound field decisions without requiring constant direction. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites throughout the Charleston area. Preferred Experience Commercial glazing experience, particularly with storefronts, aluminum entrances, commercial doors, insulated glass, and related systems. Experience working as a Lead Glazier, Glazing Foreman, Field Superintendent, Installation Manager, or Glazing Operations Manager. Experience managing multiple installation crews. Experience training and developing less-experienced glaziers. Familiarity with both residential service work and larger commercial projects. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who combines deep glazing knowledge with strong field leadership. This is not a desk-only operations position. The right candidate should be comfortable managing people and schedules while also having the technical experience to walk onto a jobsite, evaluate an installation, identify what is wrong, determine the proper solution, and guide the crew through completing the work correctly. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing our installation teams, improving field execution, reducing callbacks, and maintaining the quality standards Charleston Window & Glass expects as the company continues to grow. Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
