The role will oversee security guarding contracts, mobile and keyholding services, security technology deployments and associated site operations. The successful candidate will ensure that every contract is properly resourced, professionally managed and delivered in accordance with client requirements, company procedures and applicable industry standards. This is a hands-on management position requiring strong leadership, excellent client-management skills and the ability to resolve operational issues quickly and professionally. Key responsibilities Contract management ● Manage a portfolio of security contracts, ensuring consistent service delivery. ● Maintain regular contact with clients and build strong, trusted working relationships. ● Ensure that assignment instructions, risk assessments and operating procedures remain accurate and current. ● Conduct scheduled and unannounced site visits, welfare checks and quality audits. ● Monitor contractual obligations, service levels and key performance indicators. ● Investigate service failures, complaints and incidents, implementing corrective actions. ● Identify opportunities to improve services and introduce appropriate security solutions. People management ● Lead, support and develop supervisors, site-based teams and security officers. ● Work with recruitment to maintain adequate staffing and a reliable relief pool. ● Ensure all personnel are suitably licensed, vetted, trained and inducted before deployment. ● Manage attendance, performance, conduct and capability matters consistently. ● Conduct employee welfare visits, performance reviews and return-to-work meetings. ● Promote a people-first culture based on professionalism, respect and accountability. ● Ensure every contract is fully staffed with appropriately trained personnel. ● Coordinate effective relief cover and minimise the use of short-notice or unsuitable personnel. ● Maintain effective contingency and business-continuity arrangements. Compliance and health and safety ● Ensure compliance with SIA licensing, BS 7858 screening, UK GDPR, employment legislation and health and safety requirements. ● Support compliance with Wills Security’s SIA Approved Contractor obligations and management-system standards. ● Ensure risk assessments, method statements and site-specific safety documentation are completed and followed. ● Investigate accidents, near misses and security incidents, ensuring appropriate reporting and corrective action. ● Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and responsible environmental practices. Commercial management ● Verify hours worked and support accurate payroll and client invoicing. ● Identify contract risks that could affect service quality, profitability or retention. ● Support the growth of existing accounts through additional services and security technology. Mobilisation ● Lead or support the mobilisation of new contracts. ● Coordinate recruitment, TUPE activity, vetting, training, uniforms, equipment and site inductions. ● Establish effective communication and escalation arrangements before commencement. ● Ensure mobilisation plans, staffing structures and contingency measures are fully tested. ● Conduct post-mobilisation reviews and resolve outstanding actions promptly.
