Responsibilities Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, employee orientation, and ongoing development to build a high-performing team. Oversee daily store operations such as inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities. Manage sales activities by setting targets, monitoring performance, and implementing sales management strategies to meet or exceed goals. Ensure smooth cashiering and POS (Point of Sale) system operations while maintaining accurate cash handling and bookkeeping procedures. Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate expectations, provide coaching on managerial communication skills, and promote team cohesion. Coordinate purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to enhance store profitability. Maintain compliance with safety standards, manage shift schedules, and oversee operational tasks like opening/closing procedures and store maintenance. Qualifications Proven management experience in retail or a related industry with supervising responsibilities; previous assistant manager experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of retail math, cash handling procedures, POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency preferred; ability to effectively train and develop staff. Demonstrated leadership with the ability to motivate teams through managerial communication and team management techniques. Experience in retail sales environments such as grocery stores or wireless sales is advantageous; familiarity with retail industry sales team management is essential. Skills in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and operational management are critical for success. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently with strong organizational skills and time management capabilities.
