Operations Manager — Wholesale Distribution Danvers, MA | Full-Time, In-Person Are you a hands-on, process-driven leader who thrives on structure, efficiency, and accountability? We're a wholesale distribution company with over 28 years in business, known for fast, accurate fulfillment and dependable customer service. We're looking for an Operations Manager to lead our Operations Department — customer service, inventory, logistics, and our 3PL warehouse network — and drive the next stage of our growth. This is not an entry-level or transitional role. We are only considering candidates who currently manage, or have directly managed, a multi-function operations team including logistics and 3PL relationships. What You'll Do Lead day-to-day operations across customer service, logistics, inventory, and 3PL warehouse partners Oversee inventory accuracy and control across a catalog of 3,000+ constantly changing SKUs, including new item setup, discontinuations, and reconciling counts amid frequent assortment shifts Ensure timely order processing and cost-effective logistics Manage and coordinate with 3PL providers to meet service-level and delivery expectations Supervise the customer service team to maintain a high standard of support and responsiveness Recruit, train, and manage operations staff Enforce SOPs, safety standards, and company policies Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs Monitor KPIs and operational performance metrics on an ongoing basis Travel as needed to 3PL partner warehouses to resolve operational issues — at minimum once a month — plus two industry trade shows per year (7–8 nights each) What You Bring Minimum 5 years of operations management experience in wholesale, distribution, or logistics is required. Candidates without this will not be considered. Proven experience managing inventory in a high-SKU, high-turnover environment — ideally 2,000+ active SKUs with frequent assortment changes. Candidates whose experience is limited to a small, stable product catalog will not have the operational background this role requires. Strong Excel skills required — must be able to build and manipulate spreadsheets from scratch (formulas, pivot tables, data organization) to manage and reconcile inventory across 3,000+ SKUs Willingness and ability to learn our proprietary warehouse management system; prior WMS experience is helpful but not necessary A strong track record managing 3PL warehouse relationships and logistics networks Proven leadership across both physical operations and service-based teams Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Bachelor's degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred Valid driver's license (required) Willingness and ability to travel monthly for 3PL site visits (frequency and duration vary by need) plus two multi-day trade shows per year (7–8 nights each) — this is a firm requirement of the role, not occasional What We Offer Two significant performance-based bonus opportunities per year, above base salary, tied to clear KPIs Full benefits: health, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; 401(k) with company match; paid time off A key leadership role with real influence over daily operations and long-term strategy A stable, growing company with over two decades of proven success To Apply Send your resume along with answers to the following application questions: 1.
