OPERATIONS MANAGER – INDOOR KIDS PARK Position: Operations Manager Department: Operations Reports To: General Manager / Management Employment Type: Full-Time JOB PURPOSE The Operations Manager is responsible for the complete day-to-day operation of the indoor kids park . The main responsibility of this position is to make sure the park operates safely, smoothly, efficiently, and professionally every day . The Operations Manager will be responsible for staff management, staff placement, break schedules, customer service, handling complaints, solving operational problems, monitoring stock and inventory, purchasing, and maintaining the overall quality of the guest experience. The Operations Manager must be present and active on the floor , continuously checking the park, staff, customers, equipment, cleanliness, safety, reception, and other operational areas. 1. DAILY PARK OPERATIONS The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall opening, operation, and closing of the park. Responsibilities include: Ensure the park is fully ready before opening. Conduct daily opening checks. Ensure all operational areas are clean, safe, and properly prepared. Make sure reception, play areas, café, party rooms, toilets, and customer areas are operational. Monitor the park throughout the day. Make sure company procedures and policies are followed. Complete closing checks at the end of each day. Report any operational problems to management. Make sure problems are followed through until they are resolved. 2. STAFF MANAGEMENT & PLACEMENT The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the staff during each shift. This includes: Check staff attendance and punctuality. Ensure employees are properly dressed and ready before their shift. Assign staff to their correct positions. Ensure enough attendants are placed throughout the kids' play areas. Move staff between positions when required based on customer traffic. Ensure reception and other important operational areas are always properly staffed. Make sure no operational position is left unattended. Monitor employee performance throughout the shift. Give clear instructions and responsibilities to employees. Correct poor performance or behavior immediately. Ensure staff remain professional around customers and children. Train new employees on operational procedures and customer service. Conduct short staff briefings when required. 3. STAFF BREAK MANAGEMENT The Operations Manager is responsible for organizing and controlling staff breaks. This includes: Prepare daily break schedules. Make sure breaks do not affect park operations. Ensure another employee covers a position before allowing someone to take a break. Make sure employees return from breaks on time. Avoid too many employees taking breaks at the same time. Adjust break schedules during busy periods. The park must always remain fully operational and properly staffed during staff breaks . 4. KIDS PARK ATTENDANTS & SAFETY The Operations Manager must supervise all park attendants and ensure children's safety is treated as the highest priority. Responsibilities include: Ensure attendants are positioned correctly. Make sure attendants are actively watching the children. Ensure park rules, age restrictions, height restrictions, and safety procedures are followed. Ensure attendants communicate politely with children and parents. Make sure unsafe behavior is stopped immediately. Ensure incidents and injuries are reported and documented. Respond immediately to accidents or safety concerns. Ensure emergency procedures are understood by staff. Report damaged or unsafe equipment immediately. Stop the use of any attraction or equipment if there is a safety concern until it has been properly checked. 5. CUSTOMER SERVICE & GUEST EXPERIENCE The Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining a high standard of customer service. This includes: Welcome and assist customers when required. Make sure customers receive clear information about the park. Assist parents and children with questions or concerns. Monitor the overall customer experience. Ensure staff communicate professionally and respectfully. Support reception during busy periods. Assist customers with bookings, tickets, parties, promotions, and general questions when required. Look for ways to improve the guest experience. Make sure customers leave with a positive impression of the park. 6. CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS & PROBLEM SOLVING The Operations Manager should be the main point of contact for operational customer complaints. Responsibilities include: Listen carefully to customer complaints. Remain calm and professional. Investigate what happened before making decisions. Find reasonable solutions within company policy. Assist customers immediately whenever possible. Escalate serious complaints to management. Record important customer complaints and incidents. Follow up on unresolved issues. Identify repeated complaints and recommend solutions to prevent them from happening again. The Operations Manager is expected to be a problem solver and should take responsibility for resolving issues rather than simply passing problems to another employee. 7. STOCK & INVENTORY MANAGEMENT The Operations Manager is responsible for controlling operational stock and supplies. This includes: Conduct regular stock counts. Maintain accurate inventory records. Monitor stock usage. Identify low-stock items before they run out. Check deliveries against purchase orders. Report missing, damaged, or incorrect deliveries. Monitor unnecessary waste and overuse. Maintain appropriate minimum stock levels. Ensure stock is stored correctly. Coordinate with the café/kitchen team regarding food and beverage stock when applicable. Monitor operational supplies such as wristbands, socks, cleaning products, stationery, packaging, party supplies, and other required materials. 8. PURCHASING & ORDERS The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating purchasing requirements. This includes: Prepare purchase requests and orders. Contact approved suppliers when required. Compare prices when necessary. Make sure orders are placed before stock runs out. Follow up with suppliers regarding deliveries. Confirm quantities and prices. Check received goods against invoices and purchase orders. Keep purchasing records organized. Avoid unnecessary or excessive purchasing. Report significant purchasing requirements to management for approval. 9. CLEANLINESS & FACILITY STANDARDS The Operations Manager must continuously monitor the condition and cleanliness of the facility. This includes: Play areas Reception Birthday rooms Café/seating areas Toilets Staff areas Entrances and exits Equipment and attractions Storage areas Any cleaning or maintenance issue should be assigned to the appropriate employee and followed up until completed. 10. BIRTHDAY PARTIES & EVENTS When the park hosts birthday parties or events, the Operations Manager must ensure they run smoothly. Responsibilities include: Review the day's birthday and event schedule. Make sure party rooms are ready on time. Coordinate staff responsible for parties. Ensure food, decorations, activities, and other agreed services are prepared. Assist parents or organizers when required. Make sure parties start and finish according to schedule. Solve any operational problems during the event. Coordinate with reception, café, attendants, and other departments. 11. MAINTENANCE & EQUIPMENT The Operations Manager must monitor the condition of park equipment and facilities. This includes: Report maintenance issues immediately. Keep a record of outstanding maintenance problems. Follow up until repairs are completed. Make sure unsafe equipment is not used. Conduct basic daily visual inspections of attractions and operational equipment. Coordinate with maintenance contractors when required. Inform management of major repair requirements. 12. DAILY REPORTING The Operations Manager should provide management with clear operational updates. Reports should include important matters such as: Staff attendance Staff shortages Customer complaints Accidents or incidents Maintenance problems Stock shortages Purchasing requirements Operational problems Birthday/event issues Customer feedback Any unusual situations during the day Serious safety, customer, staff, or operational incidents must be reported to management immediately. 13. LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES The Operations Manager is expected to lead by example. The person should: Be punctual and reliable. Be organized. Communicate clearly. Remain calm under pressure. Be comfortable dealing with parents and children. Be able to manage different personalities. Be confident giving instructions to staff. Take responsibility for problems. Follow up instead of assuming tasks have been completed. Maintain a positive and professional working environment. Support employees while also holding them accountable. Be visible and active throughout the park. KEY PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring: Safety: Children and guests are supervised and park rules are followed. Staffing: All required positions are properly covered. Customer Service: Customers receive friendly, professional, and efficient service. Operations: The park opens, operates, and closes smoothly every day. Problem Solving: Operational and customer problems are handled quickly. Inventory: Stock levels are controlled and essential items do not run out. Purchasing: Orders are accurate, necessary, timely, and properly controlled. Cleanliness: The facility remains clean and presentable throughout operating hours. Team Performance: Employees understand their responsibilities and perform them correctly. Management Communication: Important problems and updates are communicated clearly and promptly. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY The Operations Manager is responsible for taking full ownership of the daily operation of the indoor kids park . The position requires someone who does not simply supervise from an office. The Operations Manager must be actively present on the floor , checking staff, helping customers, solving problems, monitoring safety, managing inventory, coordinating departments, and ensuring the entire facility operates to the company's expected standard. The overall goal is simple: Keep the park safe, properly staffed, organized, clean, fully operational, and provide every guest with excellent customer service. Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
