Before Applying Please Check Out Our Website: https://handjcabinets.com/ Cabinet Shop Manager We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Cabinet Shop Manager to oversee, optimize and improve the daily operations of our cabinet assembly shop and lead a team of approximately 15 employees. This role serves as the primary link between company management and the production floor. The Shop Manager will be responsible for keeping production organized, monitoring progress and output, resolving day-to-day issues, and making sure the team has the materials, tools, and information needed to keep work moving efficiently. The ideal candidate is comfortable both managing people and working alongside the team when needed. They should understand cabinet construction and assembly, be highly organized, and be able to maintain a clear picture of what is being produced, what is falling behind, and what needs attention. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the cabinet assembly shop Lead, organize, and support a production team of approximately 15 employees Track production progress, shop velocity, priorities, and upcoming workload Provide management with clear daily updates on production status, issues, and priorities Coordinate work between management and the shop floor Help identify and resolve production bottlenecks or workflow issues Maintain quality and productivity expectations throughout the shop Assist with cabinet assembly and production when needed Order and maintain necessary materials, hardware, parts, supplies, and tools Make sure employees have what they need to complete their work efficiently Help plan daily and weekly production priorities Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient shop environment Keep management informed of delays, material shortages, staffing issues, or other concerns that could affect production Qualifications Experience in cabinet manufacturing, woodworking, millwork, or a similar production environment Previous experience supervising or managing a shop or production team Strong understanding of cabinet construction and assembly Ability to manage multiple projects and production priorities at the same time Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable tracking production metrics and reporting progress to management Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on and involved in daily operations Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Dependable, proactive, and able to take ownership of shop operations Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $37.50 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid time off Application Question(s): Why would you be a good fit for this job?
