Dalmares Produce is seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our produce distribution business. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, fleet logistics and maintenance, inventory flow and rotation, order fulfillment, and transportation/delivery activities to ensure efficient, safe, and timely delivery of products to customers. This role requires strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and experience in food or produce distribution environments. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Direct and oversee daily warehouse, transportation, and distribution operations. Ensure efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping processes. Develop and implement operational procedures to improve productivity, accuracy, and customer service. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Employee scheduling and time card approvals. Fleet Management Manage company fleet operations, including scheduling, routing, maintenance, compliance, and utilization. Coordinate preventive maintenance programs. Ensure compliance with all DOT, safety, and transportation regulations. Optimize delivery route staffing ensure consistent coverage and efficiency. Warehouse Management Supervise warehouse personnel, including order pickers, receivers, loaders, and inventory staff. Ensure proper product handling, storage, rotation, and inventory accuracy. Maintain warehouse and food safety safety standards and cleanliness. Implement best practices for inventory management and loss prevention. Driver Management Lead, train, and supervise delivery drivers. Ensure safe driving practices and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor driver performance, attendance, and productivity. Assist in workforce planning and scheduling. Team Leadership Recruit, train, coach, and develop warehouse and transportation team members. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback. Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment. Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and customer service. Customer Service & Compliance Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers. Resolve operational issues and customer concerns as needed. Maintain compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and applicable regulations. Support audits, inspections, and quality assurance programs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a huge plus! Proficiency with warehouse management systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to analyze operational data and make informed business decisions. Knowledge of food safety, transportation, and warehouse compliance standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment. Requisite Experience Minimum 5 years of management experience in food distribution, produce distribution, grocery distribution, or a similar supply chain environment . Demonstrated experience managing: Warehouse operations Fleet operations Order pickers and warehouse personnel Commercial delivery drivers Inventory control and order fulfillment processes Experience overseeing daily transportation logistics, route planning, and delivery operations. Proven track record of improving operational performance, productivity, safety, and customer satisfaction. Experience with perishable products and temperature-sensitive inventory preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to work in warehouse and distribution environments, including refrigerated areas. Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work flexible hours as operational needs require.
