An Operations Manager in a lending and financing company oversees the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring that loan processing, collections, customer service, compliance, and administrative functions are efficient, accurate, and aligned with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on improving operational performance, managing staff, minimizing risk, and supporting business growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the lending and financing business. Manage and supervise operations staff, including loan processors, collections personnel, cashiers, and administrative employees. Ensure timely and accurate loan processing, approval coordination, and loan disbursement. Develop, implement, and improve operational policies, procedures, and internal controls. Monitor compliance with company policies and applicable financial regulations. Coordinate with the Credit, Marketing, Accounting, and Collections departments to ensure smooth workflow. Monitor loan portfolio performance and operational efficiency. Analyze operational data and prepare reports for senior management. Identify operational risks and implement strategies to minimize errors, fraud, and losses. Resolve customer concerns and operational issues promptly. Manage budgets, operational expenses, and resource allocation. Lead staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations. Ensure proper documentation, record management, and data confidentiality. Drive continuous process improvements to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, or a related field. At least 3–5 years of experience in lending, banking, financing, or financial services, with 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role . Strong knowledge of lending operations, loan processing, credit administration, collections, and customer service. Familiarity with financial regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management practices. Proven leadership and team management experience. Excellent analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and lending or financial management software. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a financing company, cooperative, rural bank, microfinance institution, or other lending organization. Knowledge of loan management systems (LMS), customer relationship management (CRM) software, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Experience in regulatory compliance, audit coordination, and operational risk management. Professional certifications in finance, operations management, or project management are an advantage.
