Operations Manager
Summary: Amica Systems is a company experiencing growth. To help maintain and grow our internal capacity we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join the team and oversee daily activities. The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding of good business processes and success in managing personnel for maximum productivity. Strong skills in Logistics, Environment Regulation and IT infrastructure with exposure to Inventory accounting are requirements. Strong problem-solving and professional communication skills are needed with the ability to communicate results clearly and concisely to senior management. This person will develop an environment of trust and inclusion within the management team. This person will assist business development activities by providing technical and chemical assessment viability. Works closely with internal resources to implement new solutions for advanced inkjet applications such as dye-sub and direct to garment. Supports management with timely and concise development activities reporting and project status and by preparing detailed product specifications for met and unmet industry needs. Leads problem solving teams for product specific problems or developmental opportunities. Objectives: Maintain communication with company’s stakeholders, staff and vendors to assure efficient company operations. Maintain quality assurance protocols in order processing, product packaging, and shipping. Improve the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance productivity. Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed. Coordinate activities with accounting as they relate to accounts payable and receivable. Supervision: Individual needs to be a self-starter and be able to work with little instruction on day-to-day activity and only general instruction on new assignments. Essential Job Functions: Lead, motivate, and support a team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including development plans for direct reports and problem resolutions. Manage data collection for analysis and metrics to achieve targets, reduce costs, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve databases and IT security. Work closely with safety departments to maintain regulatorycompliance. Oversee materials and inventory. Oversee shipping and receiving. Oversee Logistics Oversee building security and maintenance. Required: Two or more years of proven success in an operations management role. Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to effectively present program information and communicate with peers, and management at all levels. Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management or related field. Strong IT skills including business process automation and database development. Bi-lingual English/Mandarin is helpful but not required.
