Operations Manager

Job Summary

As an Operations Manager, you’ll keep retail store operations running smoothly while building a capable, customer-focused team. You’ll coordinate staffing, sales, inventory, purchasing, payroll, and daily store processes. This role suits a hands-on leader who communicates clearly, balances priorities, and turns operational details into a better experience for employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise store teams, including shift management, recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training and development.
• Oversee retail sales and customer service; support sales management, merchandising, marketing, pricing, and product knowledge.
• Manage inventory control, stocking, purchasing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and payroll; use basic math and retail math to support accurate decisions.
• Monitor cashiering, cash handling, and point-of-sale (POS) systems; maintain organized administrative processes and effective time management.
• Your impact: By coordinating people, inventory, and store processes, you help employees serve customers reliably and keep daily operations on track.

Experience

• Demonstrated management, leadership, team management, and managerial communication skills; supervising experience is important.
• Retail management, store management, operations management, or operational management experience; retail industry sales team management and assistant manager experience are relevant.
• Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management, sales, negotiation, and retail store product knowledge. Grocery store experience or wireless sales experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and phone etiquette skills; multilingual or bilingual abilities are welcome.
• Comfortable with basic math, retail math, cash handling, and balancing competing priorities.

Pay: $56,700.00 - $68,400.00 per year
