Job Description Grey & Sanders is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and resourceful individual to join our operations team. Depending on experience and suitability, we are open to considering candidates for either an Assistant Operations Manager or Operations Manager position. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of our operational processes and contribute meaningfully to the efficiency and continuous improvement of our business. You will play a key role in overseeing and improving our operations across 3PL and warehouse management, inventory control, factory quality control, supplier management, order fulfilment and after-sales support . For candidates at the Assistant Operations Manager level, the role will provide an opportunity to work closely with the wider operations team and progressively take on greater ownership and responsibility. More experienced candidates may be considered for the Operations Manager position, with a greater degree of independent ownership across our operational functions. The ideal candidate is someone who is hands-on, highly organised and comfortable solving problems, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and driving issues through to resolution. Job Responsibilities 3PL & Warehouse Management Monitor 3PL performance, warehouse accuracy, damages, discrepancies and service levels. Conduct regular warehouse audits and stocktakes to ensure proper stock handling, accountability and inventory accuracy. Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, capacity utilisation and operating costs. Work closely with 3PL partners to resolve operational issues and ensure agreed service standards are maintained. Inventory Management & Accuracy Maintain high inventory accuracy across physical stock and internal inventory systems. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, stock movements, damages and adjustments. Establish, maintain and continuously improve inventory control processes, including regular cycle counts and stock audits. Monitor inventory movements and identify potential issues or inefficiencies in stock management. Factory Quality Control & Supplier Management Conduct factory QC inspections and ensure products meet required quality and specification standards. Identify recurring quality issues and work with factories on corrective actions and process improvements. Monitor factory performance, including product quality, production timelines and compliance with requirements. Maintain clear QC standards, inspection procedures and supporting documentation. Work closely with suppliers and factories to resolve production and quality-related issues. Order Fulfilment & After-Sales Support Oversee the fulfilment process from order confirmation and stock allocation through to successful delivery. Work closely with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve operational issues affecting customers. Coordinate after-sales issues involving product defects, damages, missing parts and delivery-related problems. Review delivery performance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Support the development and improvement of processes relating to order fulfilment and after-sales operations. Operational Improvement & Coordination Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements to processes and workflows. Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth coordination across the supply chain. Monitor operational data and performance indicators to identify trends, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement. Take ownership of operational issues from identification through to resolution. Perform other operational and ad hoc duties as assigned by the manager. Job Requirements 2–5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, supply chain, warehouse management or a related field. Candidates with less experience but strong relevant capabilities may also be considered for the Assistant Operations Manager position. Experience in retail, furniture, homeware or a similar product-based business is a plus. Strong understanding of inventory, warehouse and fulfilment operations. Experience managing 3PL or external logistics partners will be an advantage. Experience with factory, supplier or quality control management will be an advantage. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Comfortable working with operational data, inventory management systems and spreadsheets. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Able to work independently and take ownership of issues from identification through to resolution. Proactive, resourceful and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset. Willingness to travel overseas for factory visits and QC inspections when required. Work Location & Schedule 5-day work week: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm The successful candidate will be based primarily at our 3PL warehouse and operational sites , with regular coordination with our showroom and internal office teams. The role will require occasional travel overseas for factory visits and quality control inspections. *Final position and remuneration will be determined based on the candidate's experience, capabilities and suitability for the role.
