Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

Virginia Linen Service runs a commercial laundry plant in Petersburg that cleans and delivers linens, uniforms, and mats for businesses across Virginia. We need an Operations Manager to run second shift: production and distribution, about 30 associates, and the supervisors who lead them.

This is a floor job. You'll spend about 80% of your shift with your people and your equipment, not behind a desk. You report to the Assistant General Manager and own your shift's results.

What You'll Do

- Run production and distribution on second shift (about 30 associates) - Build the shift schedule and keep equipment running and staffed - Hire, train, and develop associates, and coach your supervisors - Hit daily processing goals while keeping the plant safe - Track and report efficiency, quality, safety, and labor results to the management team

What You Need

- 2+ years managing a production team in a plant, manufacturing, or distribution operation - Experience running more than one department or area at the same time - Availability for 3 PM - 11 PM, with a weekend rotation based on business needs - Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and stay on your feet for most of the shift - Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook - A plus: industrial laundry experience or preventive maintenance program experience
