We are seeking an Operational Commissioning Project Manager to support the successful planning, transition and operational readiness of major healthcare projects. This is a hands-on role bringing together clinical, operational and project teams to ensure facilities, people, systems, equipment and processes are ready for a safe and successful transition into operation. The role would suit an experienced project professional with healthcare experience, or a clinical professional who is keen to move from clinical care into project management and apply their knowledge in a new environment. About the Role: Review and further develop the Operational Commissioning Framework and Integrated Programme, incorporating lessons learned from recent projects. Project manage operational commissioning from planning through implementation, migration and close-out. Coordinate and integrate clinical, operational, construction, digital and FF&E workstreams, identifying gaps, conflicts and dependencies. Facilitate Workstream Lead coordination meetings and support detailed workstream planning and documentation. Drive the Operational Commissioning Programme and provide clear reporting to project leadership and governance groups. Develop and manage operational commissioning risks, issues and mitigations, supporting timely resolution. Support FF&E installation, asset registration, asset tagging, logistics and ward close-out activities. Coordinate operational readiness requirements including security, access, health and safety, fire evacuation planning and associated training. Support Ministry of Health audit preparation, facilitation and close-out. Support change management throughout planning, commissioning and migration. About you: A recognised clinical qualification and/or credible clinical experience within a healthcare environment. An understanding of clinical services and what teams need to deliver safe, effective patient care. Project management, operational commissioning, transition or change experience, or the capability and motivation to develop your career in this area. Strong planning, coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies and competing priorities. Confidence working across clinical, operational, technical and project teams and engaging with senior stakeholders. A practical, adaptable and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to facilitate meetings and drive actions through to completion. Flexibility to travel as project requirements demand and openness to working across diverse project, client and healthcare locations.
