Operation Manager
Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the overall daily operations of the Singapore office and depot, ensuring smooth, safe and efficient operations. Manage and supervise drivers and operational staff, including work allocation, attendance, performance, training and discipline. Plan and coordinate daily truck and driver schedules to meet operational requirements, customer demands and KPI targets. Manage the company’s lorry/truck fleet, including vehicle utilisation, maintenance, inspections and breakdown management to maximise fleet efficiency and minimise downtime. Conduct regular and random truck inspections to ensure vehicles, equipment and safety requirements are properly maintained. Monitor equipment and depot facilities to ensure they are in good working condition and ensure proper management and storage of operational materials and chemicals. Monitor and improve operational systems, processes and workflows, and implement best practices to improve productivity and efficiency. Monitor monthly and yearly operational KPIs, equipment utilisation and revenue targets, and implement corrective actions where required. Identify operational issues and root causes of vehicle breakdowns, service delays and other operational problems, and implement effective solutions. Ensure all services and workmanship meet the company’s required quality standards, including the proper maintenance and servicing standards for Portable and Premium Toilets. Provide guidance, coaching and training to drivers and operational staff to ensure they perform their duties safely, efficiently and in accordance with company standards. Handle and resolve on-site technical, operational and customer-related issues that may arise during daily operations. Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, safety requirements and applicable regulatory requirements. Prepare and provide regular operational reports and updates to management on fleet performance, manpower, KPI achievement, breakdowns and other operational matters. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the business. Requirements: Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in the waste management/portable hygiene product industry . Proven experience in operations management , preferably within waste management, sanitation, environmental services or a related industry. Strong experience in managing drivers, operational staff and lorry/truck fleets. Good knowledge of fleet management, vehicle maintenance, scheduling and operational planning. Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills Able to work independently and handle a fast-paced operational environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willing to be hands-on and attend to operational issues when required.
