Operations Manager – Car Auction

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead all operations of our car auction business, from vehicle intake to final sale. You will manage the team, keep processes efficient and compliant, and deliver an excellent experience for buyers and sellers.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end operations: vehicle acquisition, inventory, auction processes, and post-auction activities
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and performance
• Coordinate inspection, valuation, and documentation of vehicles before auction
• Lead, train, and evaluate staff; foster teamwork and continuous improvement
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and build strong relationships with key customers
• Manage inventory levels, vehicle tracking, and space use to reduce holding costs
• Coordinate with logistics and transport teams for timely vehicle delivery and collection
• Ensure compliance with laws, safety standards, and industry regulations, working with legal counsel as needed
• Prepare KPI, operational, and financial reports with insights for senior management
• Work with Finance on the operations budget and with Marketing on growth strategies
• Monitor market trends and competitors, and pursue new business opportunities
• Coordinate with HR on grievance handling and submit monthly attendance reports

Requirements

• Proven experience in auctions, shipping, transport, inventory, or operations management
• Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills
• Ability to prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Accurate, quality-focused, diplomatic, and highly motivated
• High stress tolerance and strong safety and health awareness

Working Conditions

• Full-time, 6 days a week (48 hours/week)
• Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, including a 1-hour lunch break
• Office-based, with moderate physical effort during site audits, inspections, and emergencies

Pay: AED3,300.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
