Operation Manager / Area Manager - Klang Valley region
As our Operation/Area Manager, you will be the primary link between the brand headquarters and our growing network of 30+ franchise partners. Travelling between Kuala Lumpur and Selangor is a must. Candidate who can understand and could speak Mandarin is additional advantage. Your mission is to ensure brand consistency, drive the profitability of each outlet, and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the franchise relationship—from onboarding new partners to auditing existing operations. Key Responsibilities~ Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all franchisees, fostering a collaborative and professional partnership. Operational Compliance: Conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure all outlets strictly adhere to the brand's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality of food/beverage, and service standards. Business Consultation: Analyze individual outlet P&L statements. Identify underperforming stores and provide strategic advice to improve sales, manage labor costs, and reduce wastage. Expansion & Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end process for new franchise openings, including site selection evaluation, renovation progress tracking, and initial staff training coordination. Marketing Coordination: Work with the Marketing Team to ensure nationwide campaigns are executed correctly at the local level and assist franchisees with Local Store Marketing (LSM) initiatives. Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve any disputes or grievances between the brand and franchisees in a fair and timely manner. Legal & Contractual Oversight: Manage franchise agreements, renewals, and ensure all licensing (HALAL, DBKL/local council, etc.) remains valid. Requirements & Qualifications~ Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in F&B operations, with at least 2 years specifically in Franchise Management or Area Management. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial reports and data to drive business decisions. Communication: Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is a plus to communicate with various stakeholder groups). Mobility: Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel frequently to visit outlets across Malaysia. Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence (EQ), strong negotiation skills, and a "firm but fair" approach to enforcement. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Malaysian F&B landscape, including HALAL requirements and local licensing laws. Why Join Us?
