Office Administrator — Wasilla, AK
About us
Gundersons CFO & Bookkeeping is an accounting and bookkeeping firm serving small businesses and individuals. We run on documented processes, high standards, and an uncompromising commitment to accuracy. Our clients value showing up in person and knowing a local name, and our Wasilla office is a big part of how we’ve earned their trust.
The role
We’re looking for a steady, dependable Office Administrator to run the front of our Wasilla office. You’re the first face clients see and the person who keeps the day moving and nothing falling through the cracks. Help the team deliver a welcoming experience to clients and visitors. This is a structured, process-driven role: you’ll get written procedures, step-by-step training, and a manager who coaches you through your first 90 days. This role suits someone who brings strong administrative or office experience, sound judgment with confidential information, and a practical, service-focused approach.
What you’ll own

- Answering and routing calls and messages to the right person, same day
- Contacting clients to request missing information and documents
- Scheduling and confirming client appointments
- Receiving, scanning, naming, and filing client documents using our checklists
- Handling mail, supplies, and day-to-day office upkeep
- Supporting the bookkeeping team with admin tasks so they stay on billable work
- Learning and helping maintain our client-management system (GoHighLevel), with full training provided
- Growing over time into supporting office workflows and processes
- Logging your time and attending required team meetings
What you bring
- Strong attention to detail and a habit of finishing one task before starting the next
- Steady, methodical, and reliable; you’re in the office on your scheduled days, on time, every time
- Comfort following written procedures and checklists consistently and accurately
- A calm, professional, measured presence with clients and coworkers
- Clear, responsive communication by phone, email, and message
- Comfort learning new software through structured training
- Basic computer skills (email, calendar, scanning, shared files)
- Prior office, front desk, or client-service experience preferred; bookkeeping experience is not required
What success looks like
- Day 30: Trained on every office procedure and covering the front desk independently
- Day 60: Document intake and filing done accurately with no rework
- Day 90: Clients greeted, calls routed, and admin requests closed same day without reminders
