This role involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, ensuring network security, and maintaining network equipment. Responsibilities: Monitor the organization's network for performance issues, security threats, and outages and utilize monitoring tools to identify and address network anomalies promptly. Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, configuration errors, and hardware failures, and respond to incidents and outages to minimize downtime. Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the network from unauthorized access and cyber threats and monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents. Regularly update and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Perform routine system updates and patches to ensure optimal network performance. Analyze network usage and plan for future growth, ensuring the network can handle increased demand. Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades as needed and ensure configurations adhere to best practices and are well-documented. Maintain detailed records of network configurations, issues, and resolutions for troubleshooting and compliance purposes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a Network Operations Engineer or similar role Strong expertise in Mikrotik configuration, management and troubleshooting Proficiency in Linux administration, including shell scripting and system management. Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching. Familiarity with network security practices and technologies. Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Experience with network hardware from various vendors. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are an advantage.
