Our team specializes in configuring, installing, and maintaining Cisco routers, switches, and access points. As our projects are client-driven, work schedules are flexible and vary based on demand. Purpose of the Role: The primary focus of this role is to provide expert technical services, including installing, configuring, and decommissioning Cisco network equipment. As a contractor, you will support our nationwide operations, troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges, and ensure all work meets high technical, quality, and safety standards. This role suits engineers seeking flexible, ad-hoc assignments. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and access points on-site. Conduct technical assessments, including Wi-Fi surveys and Wireless Access Point (WAP) installations. Collaborate with clients to understand and qualify project requirements. Review project scopes and suggest improvements or adjustments as necessary. Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success. Address and resolve on-site technical issues, escalating unresolved challenges promptly. Prepare and submit accurate project documentation in a timely manner. Train and mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices. Conduct tool and equipment checks before deployment to ensure readiness. Provide regular status updates to project managers and coordinators. Ensure compliance with technical, quality, and Health & Safety standards. Manage data security and software licensing for customer-owned equipment. Requirements: Essential: CCNA certification (or equivalent experience/actively working towards it). Proven hands-on experience in the telecommunications or networking industry. Strong technical knowledge, particularly with Cisco equipment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools. Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking effectively. Full, clean UK driving license. Desirable: Additional Cisco certifications such as CCENT, CCT, or advanced CCNA specializations (e.g., Cloud, CyberOps). Experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly within the banking sector. Formal education in computer science, IT, or a related field. Job Type: Contractor (Ad-hoc Work) Why Join Us?
