About the Role

Mersat Consultants is expanding its technical services portfolio and is seeking an experienced, hands-on Network & ELV Engineer / Technical Team Leader to lead networking, CCTV, access control, attendance systems and related IT infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for technical planning, project execution, installation supervision, system configuration, troubleshooting and ensuring the quality and timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and assess client requirements.
• Plan and implement LAN, Wi-Fi, structured cabling, network racks, switches and related infrastructure.
• Design, configure and commission IP CCTV systems, NVRs and remote monitoring solutions.
• Install and configure biometric attendance systems, access control and related devices.
• Configure network equipment, IP addressing, VLANs and other relevant network settings.
• Prepare technical proposals, bills of quantities, material lists and installation plans.
• Supervise technicians and coordinate daily site activities.
• Diagnose technical faults and provide effective solutions.
• Conduct system testing, commissioning, handover and client training.
• Coordinate with suppliers and ensure appropriate equipment selection.
• Support preventive maintenance, breakdown calls and annual maintenance contracts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements, project specifications and relevant regulatory approvals.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in IT, Networking, Electronics, Telecommunications or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in networking and ELV installations.
• Practical experience with IP CCTV, NVRs, biometric attendance systems, access control and structured cabling.
• Good knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches, Wi-Fi and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with recognised equipment brands such as Hikvision, Dahua, ZKTeco, Ubiquiti, MikroTik, Cisco or equivalent products.
• Ability to conduct site surveys, prepare technical quotations and supervise installation teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, coordination and client communication skills.
• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications and experience with applicable UAE security-system requirements are advantageous.
