About BATHE BATHE is Austin's first bathhouse, located in the heart of East Austin. We offer a soaking garden, cold plunges, saunas, a red light lounge, a massage program, coworking spaces, and wellness events.

Job Overview The Aquatics Team Lead owns the health, safety, and performance of every water amenity at BATHE. You'll manage daily water and plunge operations, keep water chemistry dialed in, maintain equipment, and train our team to reset and care for amenities to a high standard. This role is ideal for a hands-on aquatics professional who takes pride in pristine water and a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities

Pool & Water Amenity Operations

• Oversee daily operation of water, soaking tubs, and cold plunges
• Test, log, and balance water chemistry (sanitizer, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness) on a set schedule
• Maintain safe, compliant water quality and keep accurate chemical and maintenance records
• Monitor and maintain filtration, pumps, heaters, chillers, and chemical feed systems
• Perform routine cleaning: vacuuming, brushing, skimming, and filter backwashing or cleaning
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with vendors and management
• Handle and store pool chemicals safely

Team Leadership & Training

• Train BatheWatch team members on amenity resets, water testing, cleaning procedures, and safety protocols
• Create and maintain checklists and standard operating procedures for water amenities
• Inspect amenities throughout the day and coach the team to keep standards high
• Support scheduling and assign amenity-related duties during shifts

Facilities & Inventory

• Manage inventory of water chemicals, test kits, cleaning supplies, and equipment parts; reorder as needed
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of the soaking garden and amenity areas
• Help prepare amenities for events and reset afterward

Guest Experience

• Respond to guest questions or concerns about water quality and amenities
• Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for every guest

Requirements

• Experience with water operations, aquatics, or commercial pool/spa maintenance
• Working knowledge of water chemistry, filtration, and pool equipment
• Experience leading or training a team
• Strong attention to detail and reliable record-keeping
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stay on your feet for a full shift, and work outdoors in all weather
• Comfortable getting wet while servicing amenities
• Available for [evenings, weekends, and occasional events]

Preferred

• Certified Pool Operator (CPO),
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Experience with plunges, or hydrotherapy facilities
• Background in hospitality, wellness, or a membership-based business
