This vital role requires a passionate leader with extensive accounting and finance experience, particularly within non-profit or faith-based environments. As the CFO, you will oversee financial planning, reporting, compliance, and risk management, ensuring the organization’s financial health aligns with our mission and strategic goals. Your expertise will help drive sustainable growth, uphold regulatory standards, and foster transparency within our ministry community. Responsibilities - Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that support the organization’s mission and growth objectives. - Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including financial statement analysis, reporting, and interpretation in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and IAS (International Accounting Standards). - Manage budgeting processes, financial forecasting analysis, and develop financial projection models to support strategic planning initiatives. - Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations framework), and other relevant standards. - Lead risk analysis efforts to identify potential financial vulnerabilities and implement effective risk management strategies. - Supervise treasury management activities such as cash flow forecasting, expense control, cost management, and revenue cycle management. - Oversee financial software systems to streamline operations, enhance accuracy in financial reporting, and facilitate data-driven decision-making. - Collaborate with senior leadership on corporate strategy development, business analysis, fundraising for organizational growth, and supply chain considerations when applicable. - Manage finance team members by providing leadership, supervision, and guidance in areas like payroll management, cost control, and compliance adherence. Qualifications - Proven experience in accounting and finance leadership roles within non-profit or similar organizations; prior finance directorship is highly desirable. - Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, IAS standards, and industry-specific financial regulations such as SOX compliance. - Demonstrated expertise in financial statement analysis, interpretation of complex financial reports, and development of strategic financial plans. - Experience with risk management frameworks like COSO and familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements for non-profits or governmental entities. - Skilled in using advanced accounting systems and financial software to optimize operational efficiency. - Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a strategic mindset for business development initiatives. - Leadership qualities that inspire teams; capable of supervising finance staff while fostering a collaborative environment. - Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to develop detailed financial models for forecasting and scenario planning. - Strong understanding of revenue management processes including revenue cycle management and expense oversight.
