This role The Merchant Operations Manager is responsible for leading a high-performance, highly skilled operations team — including field marketing agencies and field promoter teams — that guides merchant clients through our processes, products, and promoter deployment. This role manages strategic interactions and administrative, technological, and logistical operations, executing a demand generation strategy built around placing the right promoters with the right merchants, to foster successful partnerships, drive customer engagement, and boost sales growth; overseeing merchant, clerk, and Responsibilities Lead the regional demand-generation strategy centered on promoter deployment, driving brand awareness and sales performance across merchant partners. Serve as the main liaison for the Merchant Operations team, with a core focus on ensuring each merchant has the right promoters in place to lift sales and productivity. Oversee the onboarding of new merchants and the sourcing/onboarding of suitable promoters, maintaining an accurate, continuously updated partner and promoter database. Act as the interface between merchants, promoter/field marketing teams, and internal stakeholders to build action plans and mobilize resources against agreed business goals. Coordinate and assign promoter personnel to each commercial partner, designing contract and scalability models, and monitoring/evaluating promoter effectiveness. Establish measurable performance targets for promoter and field marketing teams; run regular reviews to track progress and adjust deployment to boost merchant performance. Lead the design and continuous improvement of operational processes spanning merchant administration and promoter deployment, to raise efficiency and partner experience. Ensure accuracy and consistency of merchant and promoter administrative data — references, pricing, user data, personnel records — across company systems. Manage timely commission payments, incentives, and promotions for both merchants and promoters, in close collaboration with Accounting and Finance. Oversee relationships with field marketing agencies supplying promoters, ensuring adherence to brand and operational standards, and coaching them to improve execution. Analyze sales and promoter-performance data to identify trends and improvement areas, converting insights into action plans that lift merchant productivity. Provide regular performance reporting (ROI, campaign effectiveness, recommendations) and partner with senior marketing, sales, and finance leaders to align initiatives with overall business objectives. Monitor market and competitor trends, and work with the fraud team to train field personnel and curb fraud, protecting healthy, sustainable growth. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Economics, Management, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance or operations, in consumer finance, technology, mobile products, or consulting industry, in a high-growth tech startup environment or a highly intrapreneurial role. Analytical skills with data-driven approach. Self-driven and results-driven, willing to work in a dynamic, high-change environment.
