The MEP QA/QC Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) quality assurance and quality control activities across construction projects.The role will ensure that all MEP works, materials, installation activities, testing and commissioning comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, standards and the company's quality management requirements. Job Responsibilities: Lead and manage the overall MEP QA/QC function across assigned construction projects. Develop, implement and maintain project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans (QA/QC Plans). Establish and monitor inspection procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements and quality control processes. Review and approve MEP shop drawings, material submittals, technical submissions and quality documentation. Supervise and coordinate MEP QA/QC engineers, inspectors and site quality teams. Ensure that all MEP installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards and project requirements. Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, subcontractors and project management teams. Monitor and control the quality of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, firefighting and related MEP works. Review and manage Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), NCRs, observations and corrective action reports. Identify quality risks and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Monitor the quality of materials and equipment delivered to site and verify compliance with approved submittals. Oversee testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance testing of MEP systems. Ensure proper documentation, inspection records, test reports and quality dossiers are maintained throughout the project. Conduct regular quality audits and site inspections to identify deficiencies and improvement opportunities. Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, MEP Managers, consultants and subcontractors on quality-related matters. Prepare and review weekly and monthly QA/QC reports and quality performance updates. Lead quality meetings and provide technical guidance on MEP quality issues. Support project teams in achieving successful inspections, handover and project close-out. Ensure compliance with applicable UAE regulations, authority requirements, international standards and project specifications. Promote a strong culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement across MEP teams. Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or MEP Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with significant experience in MEP QA/QC management on major construction projects. Atleast 10 years UAE experience in large scale projects, highrise buildings and villas. Proven experience managing QA/QC teams and quality processes for large-scale MEP projects. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting and other building services systems. Extensive knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, method statements, inspection processes and quality documentation. Strong understanding of IRs, MIRs, NCRs, corrective actions, testing and commissioning procedures. Excellent knowledge of international standards, project specifications and UAE construction requirements. Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, contractors and authorities. Strong ability to review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications and technical documents. Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. · Strong documentation, reporting and organizational abilities. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering/project management software. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety and project excellence. UAE/GCC construction experience is highly advantageous.
